learning experiences.
The highlight of the event is the distinguished lineup of keynote speakers, each offering a unique
perspective on safety, nutrition, and ethics. Ms. Yap Pau Lin, a renowned Nutritionist from Columbia
Asia Hospital, took the stage to emphasize the critical role of healthy nutritional foods in our daily lives.
Her insights truly empower PTIS employees to make informed choices, fostering a culture of wellness
and food safety.
Furthermore, representatives from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) effectively
address the audience, delving into the pressing topic of “Awareness of the Dangers of Corruption and
Society” which giving in-depth into the dangerous corruption could bring to society. Corruption poses
a significant threat to safety, security, and societal well-being. The MACC’s presentation served as a
clarion call, urging us to be always vigilant and to progressively act against this pervasive menace.
Noon marks a unique moment as all PTIS employees participating in the event together for a special
lunch. This meal is more than just sustenance; it is a symbolic reminder of the importance of food
safety and nutrition in our daily routines. It underscores the vital role that healthy eating plays in our
overall well-being.
As the day progresses, participants joined a Safety Gemba Walk within PTIS’s operational area for
general safety measure and proactive action towards safety prevention. This hands-on experience is a
testament to our commitment to safety. It provides an opportunity to observe and discuss safety
practices in action, further cementing our dedication to creating a safe workplace.
Global Safety Day 2023 is not merely an event but a collective endeavour to make our world safer,
healthier, and more ethical. It serves as a platform for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and collective
action. Together, we could make a meaningful impact on safety, nutrition, and ethics in our
communities and workplaces!
